I managed to do yesterday's workout without falling through the floor, which is always good. And also made it through the party only having 2 beers and didn't make up for the lack of drinking by eating everything in site. I just had a cupcake and some popcorn. I saw the most intense home fireworks display I've ever seen. They had big speakers with karaoke screens and fireworks going at both ends of my friend's street. I'm really surprised no one blew their hand off or started their house on fire.
As for today's workout, it was fine. I jumped outside and even at 8:30 it was really hot and humid which made for unpleasant jumping and difficulty breathing. It's like a swap here these days. The fourth set of jumps I tripped almost every other jump. It was super frustrating, but all the other sets were fine.
The exercises are good too. I'm still struggling with the push-ups but am enjoying the squats alot.
And now it is beach time again.
Seems like a good party, lots of fun, and keeping wiht the program.
ReplyDeleteI feel you on that swamp part. The reason I live in VT is fer the fact that it doesn't do that, but today is different. 81 degrees and as humid as a lake. Makes everything hard
ReplyDeleteI like jumping in heat. I just imagine it as a free sauna and enjoy the detoxy feeling of it.
ReplyDeleteNice work dealing with the party temptations! Holidays are definitely challenging...
ReplyDeleteWill try to think about the jumps as a glorious sauna workout when I do them this evening. A sauna without all the weird stinky ladies that are always in the one at the rec center, hallelujah!
ReplyDeleteGood job on only having one cupcake! Temptation is hard to resist. Did you find that people were uncomfortable if your hand was empty or you weren't eating at the party? People kept thrusting beverages in my hand.
ReplyDeleteThere were so many fireworks and so much excitement that no one really seemed to be be paying much attention to anything else. I can envision future hangouts will be slightly uncomfortable for people when I'm not drinking or eating. I really need to find venues for socializing that don' revolve around eating and drinking.
